CMI conducts training for citizens, armed security companies, law enforcement and military clients. With the exception of the following, the rest of the polices below are intended for all clients;
- Citizen Clients who are registered for a class and re-schedule within three (3) days of the start of that class, will be charged a twenty-five ($25.00) dollar re-scheduling fee.
- Citizen Clients who are registered for a class and cancel within three (3) days of the start of that class, will not receive a refund.
Our law enforcement courses are only open to law enforcement officers (full time / part time / reserve / retired), military personnel (active / reserve / national guard / retired), DOD or DOE armed security personnel and State Department armed security contractors. Foreign nationals may attend our courses after they receive written approval from the U.S. State Department (A copy must be provided to CMI with enough lead time to verify its authenticity).
Some of our schools are performance based and require students to pass a written examination, our qualification course of fire, and assigned projects. A student’s inability to pass any single requirement will result in a certificate of training being issued for that subject matter, but in no case will a certification of any sort be issued.
Law enforcement students who attend and graduate from our training programs receive a certification that is valid for a period of three years (unless otherwise noted). After the expiration date, unless the student attends a CMI update class or continuing education course, the training and any certifications associated with it are considered null and void, other than to serve as a means of proof to show that the student once attended a particular training program. This policy is meant to serve as a vehicle for our clients to receive updated and contemporary training in a particular discipline so that they are prepared to give their respective communities the best level of service possible.
CMI is very thorough in our teaching and maintenance of firearms safety. If any individual becomes a safety hazard or a disruptive student, they will be expelled from the course with no refund. All of our student training safety rules can be viewed by clicking this link.
Training Administrative Policies
To register for a course, our training application and agreement must be filled out completely, to include the question boxes being marked appropriately, signed where appropriate, dated, and either faxed or emailed into CMI. Once the registration is received, a CMI staff member will contact the student and the contact person at the agency to let them know that the registration was received.
Only paid registrations or department purchase orders hold slots for our schools (first come, first served). Discounts must be applied at the time of registration.
No refunds are given after the school starts.
No refunds are given if the student fails the course.
No refunds are given if a student fails to show up for a course.
50% refund for cancellations within 21 days of the start of a school (student substitutions are acceptable).
CMI reserves the right to cancel a school or event for any reason. If we cancel a school, a full refund will be made to the customer.
CMI and our instructors take no responsibility for the misuse, by our clients, of any formal or informal training that we have provided, regardless of the clients circumstances or environment. Please see other terms, conditions and rules on our registration form.
