Each year at the NPRC our sponsors get to showcase their products in a live-fire environment which is a pretty unique opportunity for them. In return, they help fund this reception and dinner. Most importantly to the competitors, our sponsors all very graciously donate the incredible prizes we are able to give to our attendees.
At the conclusion of the competition our sponsors hold a huge reception with munchies and cold drinks where everyone gathers and generally focus on calling Jeff Felts all kinds of four letter words while making fun of the tactical bicycle he uses to go from range to range during the competition. It’s a time to unwind, compare notes and network with fellow shooters and the sponsors.
About an hour later its dinner time!!! Its chicken or steak with all the fix-ins and the drinks aren’t bad either. If you need a special type of food just let us know and we will get it done for you.
Right after dinner its time for the competition results and the prizes!!!
The NPRC is blessed to have the support of so many leading industry manufacturers and suppliers. Each year our vendors and sponsors donate thousands of dollars in prizes to be given out to the attendees of this event. You could find a prize in your goodie bag like a Geissle Trigger just for showing up, by winning one of the many raffles we have throughout the event, or of course by shooting well in the competition! Heck, even the last place finisher gets a kick ass prize!!!
The Champion (overall top score) receives a personalized NPRC plaque and the coveted Patrol Rifle Cup to display at their agency until the following year's NPRC. The overall champion will also be given the first opportunity to select a prize from the treasure chest of prizes donated by the sponsors & vendors.
The events top guns from the remaining two divisions will select next from the treasure chest of prizes.
Finally, the event’s overall 2nd & 3rd placed scorers get to draw from the treasure chest of prizes. They also each receive a commemorative personalized NPRC plaque as the runner-up and third place finisher of the NPRC championships.
No single shooter will be allowed to collect more than one prize as a result of their performance in the competition. This does not include any raffles you participate in (so you’re good there).
Be prepared for any mystery gifts that may show up… You could improve your prize, or lose it all… Take a chance if you dare....
The last order of business each year is to count the money we raised through the donations of the attendees and present it to the charity we are supporting that year.
